Tool manufacture

At MEDER, we design custom tools and manufacture them in our tool shop.

3D design tools

We use the 3D software SOLID EDGE to create parametric models, drawings and assemblies. The tools required to produce the springs are designed and manufactured in-house at MEDER.

The following file types are handled as standard:

STEP, IGES for 3D models
DXF for 2D models
Original files from SOLID EDGE and SOLIDWORKS

Manufacture of tools in-house and by the global KERN-LIEBERS toolmaking network

All locations within the group work closely together in our global toolmaking network, so their know-how and experience in the various technologies are available everywhere.

We use common CAD software to design our tools, and globally coordinated processing technology with the associated programming systems to build them, which means that we are also able to take on projects from the KERN-LIEBERS group in the toolmaking network.
